Hot take: My paper password log beat a digital hack and I'm sticking with it

I used a fancy password app for ages and thought I was totally safe! Then my social media got broken into last spring because the app had a bug that let hackers in. I freaked out and switched to writing all my passwords in a small notebook that I hide in a locked box at home. Everyone tells me this is risky, but for my life, it works better. I don't have to worry about online leaks or forgetting some master code. It's just me and my pen, and I check the box every day. Yeah, if my house burns down, I'm in trouble, but that feels less likely than another app flaw. Curious if anyone else has tried this or thinks I'm making a big mistake!

What if someone breaks into your house though?

Ha, I get where you're coming from! In my experience, most burglars are after TVs, not a boring notebook of login details. Your mileage may vary, but if a hacker gets into an app, that's a sure thing, while a thief in your house might just grab the cash and run. I mean, how many times have you heard of someone's paper password stash being the target? Unless you're keeping state secrets in there, it's probably safer from random crime than from some bug in a code update. Take that with a grain of salt, but it makes sense to me.

Lol @tessa_wilson72, if a thief breaks in, they're after the TV, not my password for cat videos. Paper beats digital when hackers can't even find my house!
