Hit 1,000 saved drama screenshots and it changed how I archive stuff

I started saving viral post screenshots 2 years ago just for fun, and last night my folder hit 1,000 files. The scary part is 300 of them are from accounts that got banned within 48 hours, so if you're not saving stuff fast, it's just gone. Anyone else hit a number that made them rethink their whole setup?

The whole "gone forever" thing isn't totally true though. Screenshots of posts live on plenty of archive sites, and people repost stuff constantly, so a lot of that content is still findable with a quick search. What actually disappears is the account itself, the profile, the follower count, the replies, all that context around the post. I lost a whole thread last year when someone nuked their account. The screenshots I had showed the jokes but none of the back and forth that made them funny. So yeah, save fast, but also save the comments and the date, not just the pretty picture.
