My buddy swore that deleted scene from The Dark Knight made the movie better, I finally saw it
A friend kept telling me about a deleted interrogation scene between Batman and Gordon that apparently showed more of the Joker's plan. I found it on the Blu-ray extras last night and honestly? It totally changed how I see the final cut. Did anyone else get to see a deleted scene that made them question the director's choice?

Wait did you watch the one where Gordon finds out about Harvey's breakdown before the hospital scene? Because I tracked down that deleted scene years ago and it made me realize why Nolan cut it - it totally ruins the pacing of the Two-Face reveal. The extra stuff with the Joker's plan is cool fan service but it makes Gordon look way too clued in when the whole point of the movie is that he's constantly one step behind. If you're looking for more deleted scenes that actually should have stayed, check out the extended bank robbery from the beginning. That one actually adds tension instead of taking it away.

Man, you are so right about that deleted scene with Gordon. I saw it on a special features disc a few years back and it totally broke the tension they build up for the hospital moment. The whole movie works because they keep you guessing, and that scene just gives away too much too early.
