That extra LOTR scene on the 4K disc made me switch my take on Boromir

I always thought Boromir's death scene in the theatrical cut was fine, but last week I found a 6 minute deleted scene on the 2021 4K set from the extended edition where he talks to Aragorn about Gondor's fall. It completely changed how I see his whole arc, he was way more desperate than I ever gave him credit for. Took me about 2 hours of digging through the bonus features menu on my PS5 to finally spot it. Anyone else find a deleted scene that flipped your opinion on a character entirely?

Wait, is that the scene where Boromir basically admits he's been lying to himself about the Ring being a weapon for Gondor? I read an interview with Sean Bean where he said that scene was the real key to Boromir, not the fight with Frodo. It's funny how a few extra minutes can change the whole feeling of a character, like he went from proud to broken way earlier than we thought.
