Injector cup removal got easy after I tried a slide hammer with a threaded adapter
Been fighting a stuck injector cup in a 2006 Freightliner for two days. Tried the usual pry bar and penetrating oil, zero luck. Yesterday I welded a bolt to a cheap slide hammer and threaded it into the cup's center hole. Three hits and it popped out clean. Cost me like $15 for the slide hammer from Harbor Freight. Has anyone else found a weird tool combo that works better than the dedicated kits?
