Getting stuck without a SIM card in Morocco turned into my best work week

Everyone says you need constant internet, but when my SIM card died in Marrakech, I could only get online at a cafe for a few hours. I cranked out all my client reports without any social media breaks and sent them off ahead of schedule. That limited access forced me to focus and actually made my work better. I've started blocking off time with spotty Wi-Fi on purpose now.

Last summer at my cousin's cabin in Maine, the Wi-Fi was so slow it only worked for emails (and even that was spotty). I had to finish a big project, and with no social media or videos loading, I just powered through the writing. It was annoying at first, but I got twice as much done in one afternoon. That made me see how often I click away to check stuff online (way too often, honestly). Now I use a browser extension to block sites during work hours. It's not as extreme as your Morocco story, but cutting out distractions really does help.

Totally get that feeling of being forced to focus and then realizing how bad your habits are. Honestly, my phone is the worst for that, I'll pick it up without even thinking. Using a blocker is smart, I should really try one. It's crazy how much time we waste just clicking around when we could be done.

Wow, it feels like we're all drowning in constant noise these days.
