That $35 paint sprayer from the discount store made me strip a whole closet
Thought I was slick grabbing a cheap HVLP sprayer to do the trim in my hallway closet. First pass it spit paint like a clogged milkshake straw. Second pass it blew the hose right off the fitting. Ended up peeling everything off and brushing by hand. Who else has been burned by bargain sprayers that claim furniture-grade finish? What's the cheapest one that actually works for small jobs?

Man, why do these cheap sprayers always act like they're gonna be the answer to your prayers right up until they aren't? I had one that did great for about ten seconds, then started spitting globs like a toddler with a mouthful of pudding. Spent more time wiping runs off the baseboards than actually painting. The hose popping off mid-pass is the worst part because now you've got paint everywhere and a mess to clean before it sets. Sometimes brushing by hand really is faster in the end, even if your arm hates you for it.
