I finally figured out why my CAD layers kept disappearing

I was working on a floor plan for a client in Portland last Tuesday and suddenly half my layers just vanished. No warning, no error message, just gone. Turns out I had accidentally hit the layer filter button and it was hiding everything that didn't match. Spent 45 minutes panicking and retracing my steps before I spotted the little filter icon at the bottom of the panel. Has anyone else had a dumb GUI trick cost them a whole afternoon?

Happened to me with a filter in another program and I felt like such a fool afterwards. Honestly I think software developers hide these little buttons just to keep us humble.

Wait, WHAT? You're telling me there's a filter button that was hiding in plain sight the whole time? @irismartinez I would've been so mad at myself, lol. Developers definitely have a sense of humor about this stuff, I swear.
