Some lifestyle guru with 2 million followers kept posting these videos about passive income, so I bought her $197 course back in March. She said if I followed her exact ad strategy, I'd see sales within 30 days. I did everything she said, spent another $600 on product samples and ads, and my first real order came in July, a single $12 item. Turns out her 'foolproof' method relies on a TikTok loophole that got patched in April, right after I paid. Has anyone else been burned by these guru courses that are basically just recycled advice from 2021?

Laugh at this all you want, but the real issue is you treated a $197 course like a promise instead of a starting point. That guru gave you a map, but you still had to drive the car. You spent $600 total, which is basically pocket change for testing a business model, and you're crying over a $9k loss that includes your own time and probably some bad decisions on product choice. She can't be blamed because TikTok patched a loophole, that's just how platforms work, every ad strategy has a shelf life. If you actually believed passive income meant zero work, you bought into your own fantasy, not her course. Plenty of people bought that same course, adapted the core ideas, and made it work after the patch. You quit your job with no backup plan and now you want to point fingers, but that's on you for betting your whole livelihood on a single tactic.
