inTook me three hours to find a crack in a fuel line that was right in front of my face
Did he check the wiring diagram first or just dive into the software side out of habit? I've seen people spend hours chasing ghost codes when it turns out to be something dumb like a loose connector or a bad ground. The sensor wire thing seems like one of those "check the simple stuff first" moments in hindsight but it's easy to forget when you're already deep in the ECU menus. Was it an oxygen sensor or something else that was unplugged?

inOne thing that bugs me in review discussions is when people call any show with a slower pace 'anime Malick'
Has anyone actually tried calling out the comparison in the moment? Like next time someone says "this is so anime Malick," just ask them what specific scenes made them think that. Usually they can't give you a straight answer if they're just throwing the label around. I started doing this in my groups and it cut down on the lazy comparisons by a lot. The other thing that helps is pointing them to specific shows that actually earn the label, like Kino's Journey or Haibane Renmei, so they can see the difference between intentional pacing and just slow editing. It's a lot harder to spam a comparison when you have to defend it.

inCaught my coworker claiming he fixed a leak under the sink with duct tape and hope
Do you really think duct tape is always just a quick fix though... I mean yeah in this case it clearly failed but I've seen people use it on a loose garden hose connection and it held for like two years. Sometimes a roll of tape and some stubbornness can be a legit solution if you know what you're doing... PVC pipes under pressure are a different beast though that's just asking for trouble. Not all duct tape repairs are bad choices, sometimes they're just good enough for the moment.
