I keep seeing people hate on those 5 minute Instagram apology videos where creators sit in their car and talk for way too long. But honestly, I think the shorter written apologies are way worse because they feel like a lawyer wrote them. Last week, a beauty guru I followed for 2 years posted a one paragraph note about hiding sponsored content, and it had zero details about what she actually did wrong. At least the car video format forces them to say something specific, even if they ramble. Is it just me, or do we need to pick a lane on what we actually want from these callouts?
Did the car video actually give you the details you wanted though? I've found that the ones who really messed up will ramble for ten minutes and still never say what they did. The shorter ones at least don't waste your time pretending to care.
