That viral apology tour from Chef Marco in Austin actually checked out

I rolled my eyes when the whole Marco thing blew up last month, figured it was just another influencer crying on camera for clout. But then he posted the actual receipts from the health inspector, dated 3 days before the bad review, showing the 14 violations were from the old location. He even shared his $12,000 refund to the couple who got sick, with their permission. Has anyone else been burned by a callout that turned out to be totally real, or am I just too cynical now?
