The $40 thrift store dresser I flipped has a secret drawer full of drama

Picked up this beat-up dresser from a Goodwill in Tucson for $40 last Saturday, thought I'd sand and paint it for my guest room. Turns out one of the fake drawers was actually a hidden compartment with a bunch of old love letters and a canceled check for $12,000 from 1987. Do I try to track down the people involved or just post the wildest letter on here for the tea?

Copy the canceled check number and the names on the letters before you do ANYTHING, that's your paper trail. The $12,000 check probably had a bank or attorney's name on it, and you can call that place to see if they can point you toward the family. Post the letters if you want, but blur out the names and addresses, that's the classy move.
