Appreciation post: That trick with a countdown timer on the screen actually got people to fill out feedback forms at my last event in Austin
I set a 3-minute timer during a break and offered a small prize draw for anyone who filled out the form before the buzzer, and we got 40 responses from a crowd of 60 people, way more than my usual 5 or 6, has anyone else tried something like this with a little urgency to boost engagement?

oh man this hits me right where I live. i've been running small meetups in my area for like two years now and the feedback form struggle is SO real, people just walk right past the table no matter what kind of candy i put out. i tried something similar last month but i did it with a 60 second timer and a big silly buzzer sound on my phone, i felt like a game show host but i got 25 forms out of 35 people which was honestly mind blowing compared to my usual 2 or 3. the pressure really works, it's like their brain kicks into gear when they see the clock ticking down, plus the little prize draw adds that tiny thrill. yours is way more impressive with the 40 out of 60, that's a solid win for sure

I did a similar thing with a little sand timer and a bell... people love the urgency I guess. Got way more forms than I ever expected, like 30 out of 45 once. It's wild how a little countdown makes them actually stop and fill it out.
