My street ditched the bulletin board for an online group

I saw all our local news move to a social media group for our street. Even the older folks who avoided tech are now sharing stuff there. It got me thinking if this is just a hot thing right now or if it will stick around. I like how it connects us, but I know how fast online trends can die out.

Try mixing old school with new tech by posting printed updates from the group on the old bulletin board spot. We did that on my street and it kept everyone in the loop, even those who barely check their phones. Isn't it funny how the same people who hated tech now run the photo contest? Just pick one steady thing, like a lost pet alert system, and it'll become a habit people rely on.

Suddenly our street's bulletin board is collecting dust while the online group blows up with posts about missing trash bins and dog sightings. My neighbor Frank, who still uses a flip phone, is now the top contributor of blurry garden photos. It's like a digital revolution led by the folks who needed help setting up their email last year. Now we have weekly debates on the best brand of mulch, all online. Do you think they'll start charging for premium membership next?

Frank's blurry garden photos are basically modern art at this point. I doubt they'll charge for the group, but someone's gonna try selling their homemade salsa in there by next month.
