Hot take: The wifi hunt used to be part of the freelance travel charm.

Back in the day, finding a cafe with decent internet was an adventure that made trips fun. Now, with hotspots everywhere, it's just another task to check off.

Totally! It was a whole quest. You'd ask other travelers for tips, scout cafes by signal strength, and actually talk to locals to find the good spots. Now you just open your phone and connect, it's lost all the little interactions that came with the hunt.

Easy Wi-Fi cuts out the pointless hassle of searching for a signal. Now you can connect quickly and get back to actually exploring or working. The old way just meant more time lost on boring tasks.

Ever try turning off your phone's auto-connect to force those old-school hunts? I did that in Rome last year. Had to ask at a bakery for the password. Ended up chatting with the owner about the best pizza nearby. Now I leave Wi-Fi off until I really need it. Makes you notice places you'd just walk past otherwise.
