Unpopular opinion: I finally caved and bought that $40 magnetic phone mount for my car after seeing one at the airport in Chicago.

I was stuck in a rideshare with a driver who had one, and seeing how easily he could check directions without fumbling totally changed how I view even simple accessories.

Totally get that. It's funny how seeing someone else use a simple tool can flip a switch in your head. Happens to me all the time with little kitchen gadgets or even how people organize their desks.

It's like we're all blind to the obvious until someone shows us. Makes you wonder what other simple fixes we're missing right in front of us.

Notice how @wilson.sarah mentioned kitchen gadgets. I watched my neighbor use a simple jar opener last week and felt like an idiot for struggling with pickle lids for years. It's those tiny tools that make you realize how much needless friction we put up with every day. Makes me want to walk through my house and look for all the small problems I've just accepted.
