Rant: Skipping the pre-clean on a tint job ruined a perfect pane
I was in a rush and thought a quick wipe would do, but the adhesive bonded to dust streaks instead of the glass. Now it's peeling and the client is furious over a simple avoidable error. Ever had a small shortcut blow up in your face?

Man, that's exactly how it goes with so many things in life. You think you can save a few minutes by skipping a step, and it ends up costing you hours of fix-up work later. I see this all the time with home projects, where a quick patch job turns into a full redo. It's like the universe has a way of making sure shortcuts never really pay off in the end.

Tell you what, @palmer.richard, I learned that lesson the hard way trying to fix a leaky faucet. Never do a half-assed job now because the redo takes three times as long, lol.

Remember trying to skip the primer on a paint job one time because I was in a hurry. Ended up with paint that peeled off in one big sheet, like a sad sunburn. I had to scrape the whole thing and start over, feeling like a total genius. That kind of mess really drills it into your head that the boring prep work is the whole job.
