My shopping list keeps adding items, and I've stopped trying to fix it

For about half a year now, I write my grocery list on a yellow pad by the kitchen door. I make sure to check it twice before I head out to the store. Every single time, when I look at it in the car, there's something new written down. It's always in my own handwriting, stuff like 'oatmeal' or 'light bulbs'. I never remember putting those there. I tried leaving the pad in a different room or even taking a photo right after writing. The extra words still show up without fail. At this point, I just buy whatever appears on the list. It's like a little helper I didn't ask for, and honestly, it's made my weekly trip less of a chore.

Totally get this, my own to-do list has been ghost-writing items for months now. I'll open it up and see 'water plants' or 'pay bill' in my hand but zero memory of doing it. Embracing the weirdness has actually made me more on top of things.

My buddy's RECIPE book started writing its OWN ingredients last year.

My car keys started hiding in the fridge for a while, no clue how they kept getting in there. It felt like the house was playing a joke on me or something. I just went with it and kept checking the butter drawer before work, lol.
