Vent: I've been turning left at the same stop sign on my route for 8 years and yesterday there was a yield sign there.

I know for a fact it was a stop sign because I got a ticket there in 2019, but when I went back to check after my shift, the yield sign looked like it had been there for years, with rust on the bolts and everything.

Guess the city needed some extra ticket money back then.

My cousin works for the city road crew. They sometimes swap signs overnight for traffic studies and make them look old on purpose.

My uncle got a ticket from a faded stop sign that looked brand new the next day. The city told him it was his fault for not seeing it. That whole practice feels like a trap for regular drivers just trying to follow the rules. It makes you not trust any of the signs after a while.
