Noticing a shift in how hashtags catch on these days

A few years ago, a hashtag could blow up from one funny tweet. Now, it seems like brands plan them out for months. I saw #BookTok start from real readers, but now it's full of ads. I wonder what's next for organic trends.

Focus on niche communities where brands aren't planning.

Yeah and it's like @kevinp56 is pointing out a blind spot. I see it with local hobby shops or small online forums, places where people just geek out about one specific thing. Brands are so focused on the big, noisy platforms they miss these quiet corners where trust is already built. Feels like they're leaving money on the table.

Honestly, this hits home for me. I've watched brands skip over smaller communities for years. Those spots are gold because real people are just talking, not being sold to. It feels like a secret hack to find places without all the ad noise. Brands are so busy with big crowds they don't see the dedicated groups. More folks should try this instead of following the same old plans.
