Showerthought: Clearing out my parents' attic with them was a bonding moment.
We talked about memories instead of just tossing stuff. It felt good to help them lighten their load together.

Yeah, have them put donation stickers on stuff first to avoid arguments later.

Man, lily_barnes makes a good point about the stickers stopping fights. But here's a thing I never see brought up... what about when the stickers leave that awful sticky gunk all over the stuff? Now you're not fighting over who gets it, you're just stuck cleaning a mess off a book or a bowl. Feels like you solve one problem and make a new, kinda annoying one.
