Serious question, when did thrift store jeans get so thin?
I remember finding sturdy denim that lasted years. These days, the material feels flimsy, so I check for heavier fabric and double-stitched seams, a trick I picked up from other shoppers.

You used to find the good thick ones all the time too? I kinda thought like Eva for a while, that it was just luck. But Dylan's totally right, the average pair feels like tissue paper now. Fast fashion garbage is just filling up the racks. I gotta check every single seam and feel the fabric weight or I end up with jeans that blow out in a month.

Honestly, I haven't really noticed them being thinner. I mean, sure some are flimsy, but I still come across heavy-duty pairs all the time. Idk, maybe it's just where I shop.

Heavy-duty pairs all the time? You must shop at a place that sells tanks or something. In my experience, most things have gotten flimsier over the years, no joke. I remember when you could actually reuse things without them falling apart right away. Now, it feels like everything is made to break after one use, just to save a few cents. So yeah, if you're finding heavy-duty stuff, maybe you're just lucky or shopping in the right spots, but my mileage varies. Meanwhile, the rest of us are dealing with paper-thin garbage that tears if you look at it wrong.
