Glue cleanup became a BREEZE after I started using wax paper scraps
Just lay them under your joints when clamping. It peels right off and leaves NO residue.

My friend was laminating countertops and got adhesive everywhere on his garage floor. He tried your wax paper trick under the weight blocks, and the excess glue peeled up in solid sheets. His cleanup time went from an hour to about five minutes, and he's been annoyingly smug about it ever since.

Last summer in Austin, my friend Greg rebuilt his deck railings. Glue oozed everywhere between the spindles. He used parchment paper under the clamps, same idea as wax paper. Peeled it off and the glue came with it in one sheet. He said it cut his cleanup time by like eighty percent.

Spent hours scraping dried glue off my workbench last year, looked like I'd hosted a paste-eating contest. Had no clue about the parchment paper trick, just figured elbow grease was part of the job. My dumbass even used a putty knife and scratched the surface, had to sand it all down again. Heard about this method later and felt like a total rookie, lol. Now I keep a roll in the truck just in case, but man, that cleanup still haunts me.
