Prepping surfaces right made my caulk job actually last
I always hated how shower caulk would get gross and peel so fast. Then I saw a tip about cleaning and drying the area first. Now I scrub with bleach, rinse, and wait a full day for it to dry bone dry. I use a silicone caulk instead of the cheap stuff. The caulk sticks now and doesn't let mold in. It added some time to the job but it's held up for ages. I don't rush this step anymore. Big difference for such a small change.
