Balloon Fiesta parking turned into a real headache

We waited in line for two hours just to enter. They had too few people managing the cars, so it was chaos.

Didn't I read where some other city had the same mess with not enough staff?

Was it that hard to hire a few more traffic cops? You get traffic backing up onto the highway because they only have two people pointing cars into a giant field. Then the volunteers directing you to a spot look totally lost, so everyone is barely moving. It's like they never planned for this many people. How do you mess up the simple stuff that bad?

Actually saw on the local news that they had six cops scheduled, but two called out sick. Still, you'd think they'd have backups for a big event.
