Finally spotted the rule about double yellow lines at the Rail Runner stops
I've been driving around downtown by the Alvarado Transit Center for like 8 months and kept seeing people treat those yellow striped zones as parking spots, even saw a ticket once. Yesterday I noticed the actual no stopping sign is tiny and half hidden by the bus shelter, so it's not really anyone's fault, but now I get why the tow trucks are always lurking there. Has anyone else had a close call with that, or is there a better place to park for the 5:15 train?

I got hit with a $45 ticket there last fall because I parked in one of those striped spots for maybe 10 minutes while grabbing coffee. The sign is literally behind the shelter and you cant see it unless you're standing right next to it. I usually park on Lead Ave now and walk the two blocks, its way less stressful than dealing with the tow trucks circling like sharks.
