Got kicked out of a Nob Hill coffee shop over a laptop charger, was I wrong?
Plugged my dead laptop into the outlet by the window on Central last Tuesday and the owner came over and unplugged it mid-email, saying they only allow charging at the two bar seats. I get that outlets cost them money and tables are for paying customers, but kicking me out over 20 minutes felt like a lot, so where do you all land on this?
Man, getting your plug yanked mid-email is a new level of petty. That owner basically treated your laptop like it was stealing the wifi and the electricity at the same time. I get that outlets are for paying folks, but twenty minutes and one charger is not exactly draining their whole power bill. Sounds like they wanted a reason to flex more than they wanted a sale, honestly. Next time just order a coffee and glare at them while it charges.
