Three years ago I saw a handmade tamale cart on 4th street and it's gone now
Back in 2021 there was this lady selling tamales out of a red cart near the old Frontier parking lot, best green chile chicken ones I ever had. I drove by last week and the spot was empty, and I haven't seen her anywhere else around town since. Anybody know if she moved to a different street or just stopped doing it?

Man that green chile chicken sounds incredible, I've been hunting for good tamales since my aunt stopped making them a few years back. Did you ever catch what her cart looked like up close, any stickers or a sign with a name on it? Things like that can help track down if she's got a social media page or maybe just set up shop somewhere else now. I swear the best street food vendors around here just vanish without a trace and it drives me nuts. Have you tried asking any of the other vendors who work near that lot if they know where she went?

My buddy Dave tracked down a taco guy this way once. He just hung around the lot at lunch for a few days and bought a couple things from the hot dog cart next to where the taco guy used to park. The hot dog guy knew exactly where he moved to, gave him a phone number and everything. Might be worth grabbing a burrito from whoever's still working that corner and just asking.

Wait, is tracking someone down through a hot dog vendor really the move here? Honestly that feels a little invasive if you ask me. I mean yeah I get missing good tamales but some folks just decide to stop selling and that's their business, not ours to hunt them down over. Maybe she found a regular job with benefits or her kids got older and she didn't need the extra cash. I'd rather just remember those perfect green chile chicken ones and let her have her privacy than bug her current neighbors or coworkers about it.
