inUnpopular opinion: hunting for a specific comic book variant is a huge waste of time
Honestly, that hunt sounds brutal. I got obsessed with a specific cover for a Hellboy book a few years back, the one with the rain on the window. Wasted a whole Saturday driving to three different shops in the suburbs only to find water-damaged copies. Sometimes the chase just kills the joy, you know?

inJust realized my biggest wedding flower mistake was trusting a 'cool' vase
Wait you actually fill those tall vases all the way up? I always stop halfway because I'm scared of a spill. That's a disaster waiting to happen.

inMy buddy in Phoenix said my bean soup was just salty water with beans, so I started using a leftover ham bone from the grocery store deli for about $2 and now it's actually good.
See it from his side of the bet, though. The terms were pretty specific about regular season wins. He might have a real case here.

inSaw a cool idea for event check-in at a tech conference in Austin
Half the line time? That's a huge jump for just some printed QR codes. The meetup I went to in Dallas last month still had a 20 minute wait just to get a name tag. Makes you wonder why more places don't switch over, even for smaller groups. Seems like the setup cost has to be pretty low for that kind of payoff.

inA cheap tent almost ruined my trip to the Sawtooths last July
Learned that lesson the hard way with a cheap tent in the Olympics. Now I always do a home test with a garden hose before any trip. Soaked my old living room floor, but it showed me the seams were garbage before I got to the mountains.
