Worst day on the job in 8 years, almost quit on the spot

Honestly used to think people who almost quit over one bad day were being dramatic. Then I had a shift last month where three separate customers screamed at me over things I couldn't control, our system crashed for two hours, and my manager told me to "just deal with it." Walking to my car I had my resignation speech planned out in my head. Sometimes it really is just the straw that breaks you.

Ngl, what helped me was literally keeping a sticky note in my locker with one thing I actually liked about the job. On those awful days I'd just stare at it for 30 seconds before clocking in. Sounds super cheesy but it stopped me from quitting long enough to find a better job later.
