Hit 100k followers off a 9-second clip of my dog opening the fridge, still confused
My buddy filmed my labrador pulling the handle with his teeth last Tuesday and now I'm getting brand deals, but I've posted 200+ videos of my HVAC work with maybe 40 views, so has anyone else had a random video totally eclipse their actual content and how do you handle the pressure?

The algorithm doesn't reward effort, it rewards the thing that makes people stop scrolling for one second. Your dog video works because it's a tiny moment of pure weirdness, not because it's better than your HVAC content. Treat the 100k as a separate audience and keep posting your real work on the side, the dog crowd might stick around for the actual skills eventually.
