That one TikTok of my truck jackknifing on I-80 got 2 million views overnight

I was just trying to get unstuck from some black ice near Cheyenne, and some guy filmed it from his car. Now my dispatch keeps joking I'm famous, but I just wanted to finish my route without drama. Any other drivers dealt with random viral clips messing up your work life?

That whole "jackknifing on I-80" thing is actually a common slip move, not a real jackknife where the trailer locks up completely. Real jackknives happen when the brakes grab too hard on ice and the cab spins out of control, which is way scarier than what you probably did. Dispatch loves messing with drivers about stuff like that, but honestly, 2 million views is crazy for a work accident video. At least nobody got hurt, and the truck probably looked fine after you got it straightened out.

I saw a dashcam video once where a guy jackknifed so bad his trailer ended up pointing at oncoming traffic while the cab faced the ditch... took three tow trucks to sort it out. Dispatch gave him a "congratulations, you broke the record" speech over the radio when he got back to the yard. Still, 2 million views is wild for something that could've been way worse if the timing was off.

Dude, you gotta love dispatch giving you a hard time like that, right? @anna_ross19 is spot on about the brake thing, I saw a guy on the 94 last winter do the same move, cab spun almost 180 before it stopped. People don't realize how fast it happens, one second you're fine, next you're staring at the guardrail. Glad nobody got tagged in that video, could've been a whole different story.
