Unpopular opinion: the 'awkward pause' is what makes people go viral, not the content

So I kept seeing these clips blow up where someone stops talking for like 2 seconds and the whole internet turns them into a meme. Last month my neighbor's 4 second hesitation answering a question about his lawn got 3 million views on a local news page. I started checking the pattern and it's everywhere. People try to edit out their pauses before posting but that kills the magic. The awkward moment makes it feel real, like we caught something unscripted. My own video with a frozen stare and a 'um' got way more shares than the one where I sounded all smooth. Anyone else notice that the messier the delivery the bigger the reach, or is it just me? Do you guys leave your flubs in or cut them out when you post?
