Saw a stat that the average person sees 6,000 ads a day, so I started counting mine for one morning
Counted 23 before I even got out of bed, just from my phone alone, and that was in Tucson on a random Tuesday. Anyone else ever actually tried tracking this, or is 6,000 just a number ad people throw around?
Something people forget is all the stuff you do not notice you are seeing. A logo on a shirt, the sign on a delivery truck stuck next to you at a light, the wrapper on a granola bar in your own kitchen. Those count too, and your brain filters most of them out before you even register them. I tried this for a day once and gave up by lunch because I kept catching stuff I had already walked past twice. Six thousand sounds high until you start adding in packaging, store signs, and the junk on your own fridge. The number is probably real, we just have no idea how much of it we are actually soaking in.
