Am I the only one who blew $800 on a 'guaranteed' Facebook ad course that was just recycled blog posts?

The guy's 'secret method' was just telling me to run traffic ads to a lead magnet, which I already knew from a free YouTube video I watched six months ago.

Has anyone looked into whether these scammers target specific friend groups? The_caleb's buddy and your cousin might not be random hits. These guys could be mining social media connections to seem more legit.
