That 'Dollar Shave Club' style ad for a local plumber fell flat at 2am and I get why
Saw this ad for a plumber in Mesa around 2am last month, guy rapping about clogged drains with a snake tool as a mic, and I watched the whole 45 seconds. Everyone in the comments was roasting it, saying it was cringe and trying too hard, but here is where I disagree. The ad had a phone number on screen the whole time and a $50 off code, and I ended up calling them for a backed up kitchen line. Turns out half the people hating on it still remembered the jingle a week later, which is more than I can say for the boring 'family owned since 1987' ads. Is a cheesy ad that sticks in your head really worse than one you forget in 5 seconds?
