Serious question, is the silent TikTok unboxing thing genius or just lazy ad work?
So last week I noticed like 5 different brands doing that thing where the whole ad is just hands opening a box with zero talking, no music, just the paper crinkle sound. I get why it works, my thumb stopped scrolling because the silence felt weird next to everything else blasting sound at me. But half the comments on these are people asking what the product even is, which seems bad if the point is selling. Is this a smart way to stand out or are brands just copying each other because it's cheap to film? Has anyone seen one of these that actually made you remember the brand name after?
