Blew $200 on a fancy espresso machine attachment, turns out my $20 frother works just as good

Spent $150 on a bottomless portafilter for my machine. Thought it'd make me feel like a real barista. Nope. Just made a sticky mess on my counter. The $10 pressurized basket does the same thing.

Overheard a kid call drywall mud 'spackle' and it got me thinking about how this trade is changing

Wait, isn't spackle actually a different product than drywall mud though? Spackle is that lightweight stuff for small holes and mud is the heavy compound for taping and bedding, and I've seen guys get in trouble using the wrong one on bigger jobs. No disrespect to @felixlee for learning from the old timers, but mixing your own mud is how you learn the difference between a patch and a full board job, and that's something YouTube tutorials never show you.

That viral comment about "just add an egg" to boxed cake mix actually made it worse

Hall.nina, I actually love those ridiculous life hacks. Half the fun is trying them and watching them fail spectacularly. Makes for way better content than the boring ones that actually work.

Why does nobody talk about using print statements vs proper debugging tools

Wait, you were seriously spending 30 minutes on console.log hunting? That's wild, I feel like everyone just accepts that misery until someone forces them to try breakpoints. I switched years ago and never looked back, debugging is basically painless now.
