My frozen chicken nugget game changed completely after I saw a tip on a cooking show
For years, I just tossed frozen nuggets straight from the bag into the air fryer at 400 degrees for 10 minutes. They were fine, but always a bit dry inside and pale on the outside. Then, about three weeks ago, I was watching a rerun of an old cooking show and the host mentioned a quick trick for frozen foods. She said to give them a light spray of oil and a sprinkle of cornstarch before cooking. I tried it with a bag of store brand nuggets, using maybe a teaspoon of cornstarch and a quick mist of avocado oil spray. The difference was huge. They came out looking like they were from a restaurant, with a deep golden, crispy crust that actually stayed crunchy. The inside was still fully cooked but way juicier. It's such a small step, but it made a cheap freezer staple feel like a real treat. Has anyone else tried a simple coating trick that made a big difference with a basic frozen food?

It's funny how the smallest tweaks can unlock a lot of hidden potential in basic stuff. Makes you wonder what other simple upgrades we're all missing out on.

Doesn't it show how much better things get when we just pay a little more attention to the simple steps?

My frozen pizza crust got way better after a light dusting of grated parmesan right on the tray, totally get what @shane655 means about unlocking potential.
