inUpdate: My cold, rainy campout showed me why a stove matters
I get the comfort thing, but calling it a safety net feels like a stretch. If you're that cold, your real problem is poor insulation or a bad sleeping bag. A hot drink is a nice boost, but it won't fix hypothermia. I've been fine just packing an extra layer and some high-calorie snacks.

inFigured out a simple fix for constant blue screens on a friend's PC
Hey wait, that's not always the driver's fault though. A lot of times it's other messed up software or even hardware starting to fail. People just blame the new driver because it's the last thing they changed.

inMy offline map reading led to a surprise view on a solo hike
My last phone died for good on the Old Loggers Path in Pennsylvania. I had a state forest map that was basically a napkin with squiggles on it. Following those squiggles led me to this little swimming hole under a waterfall that I'm convinced doesn't exist digitally. Felt like I'd cracked a secret code that the grid forgot.

inThat viral stunt where a company faked a data breach for clicks is why marketing gets a bad name
Feel so frustrated by these fake stunts. It really does kill trust for good, like you said. Just a bad way to do business.
