Spent 45 minutes trying to get my air fryer basket unstuck

I got a new air fryer last month and the basket got jammed shut after I cooked some chicken thighs with a sticky glaze. It took me a full 25 minutes of wiggling and prying before I realized I just needed to run it empty for 2 minutes to heat the metal and loosen the jam. Has anyone else hit a simple fix like that after way too long of a struggle?

Man, it's wild how often the simple fix is the one you overlook last. I heard somewhere that heat expansion is a common trick for stuck metal parts, but who thinks of that when you're just trying to get dinner done?

Torch and a candle worked for me once on a stuck jar lid. Just ran hot water over the metal part for a minute and it popped right off.
