Watching the new guy use a torque wrench versus the old hand

The new hire was just cranking bolts on a Cessna flap bracket until it 'felt right,' but our lead showed him the calibrated wrench and the manual. The bracket didn't have a single stress crack after the next 100-hour inspection, unlike the last one. How do you guys get the importance of specs across to green mechanics?

That Cessna story and jessica_hernandez17's cracked mount make me cringe.

My buddy's engine mount cracked from over-torqued bolts.

My friend's dad had a Mooney wing bolt snap on climb-out because a shop used an impact gun. They landed okay, but the shop manual listed a specific foot-pound for a reason. Seeing that sheared bolt in the hangar made specs real for a lot of us.
