Cracked the code on those finicky hardwired door sensors after 8 years of guessing

Turns out the trick is just using a multimeter on continuity mode before you wire anything up instead of assuming the magnet gap is fine, saved me a callback in Riverside last Thursday, anyone else skip that step and regret it later?

Ngl, I've had more issues with multimeters giving false readings on continuity than just trusting the magnet gap. Had a job near downtown Austin last fall where the meter said closed but the sensor was still hanging open. Honestly, sometimes you gotta go with your gut and the physical gap test instead of relying on a tool that can lie to you.
