Every installer I meet swears by drilling the top plate first, and after 6 callbacks in one summer I think that's backwards
On a 2 story in Mesa I started marking and drilling the bottom plate first, then the top plate, and my wall fishing time dropped from about 40 minutes a run to 15 because the bit stops wandering when the bottom hole is already there to catch it, so has anyone else tried it the other way or am I just slow on the ladder?
