Sign guy told me my old mailbox numbers were a fire hazard, he was right

I used to think any reflective numbers on a mailbox were fine, but after a late call last month on Copper Ave, the address sign company guy showed me a photo of a house we missed because the digits were flat black on dark wood. He put a $12 set of raised reflective numbers on and tested it with a flashlight from 50 feet, now I'm a believer. Fire response time depends on you seeing the place, not us guessing which house has the shape of a 3 behind a bush. Anyone else ever upgrade their address markings after a close call?

Flat black on dark wood" sounds like a choice made by someone who hates firefighters. Good on you for fixing it, that's a cheap upgrade for peace of mind.
