Blew $120 on that fancy 'anime figure protection spray' from a con vendor
It was supposed to keep dust off my collectibles but it just left a weird sticky film on my Lain figure's face (learned that the hard way after a month). Has anyone found a dusting method that actually works without ruining the paint?

Reminds me of when I tried using that "museum wax" to keep my figures from tipping over. Stuff was supposed to be safe but it left this oily stain on the base of my Saber figure that never came off. Now I just use a cheap makeup brush for dusting and it works fine.

Totally agree with @the_piper on the museum wax thing. That stuff ruined a couple of my figure bases too, left this weird greasy residue that attracted dust like crazy. Cheap makeup brushes are the real MVP for keeping things clean without any hassle.
