The animation quality in Season 3 of that shonen show fell off a cliff

I just watched the first episode of Season 3 and compared it to Season 2 from two years ago. The fight scenes went from fluid motion to mostly still frames with speed lines, and I counted at least four reused shots in one five-minute sequence. Anyone else notice the studio switch or am I just being picky?

Have you checked who actually animated the key fight sequences compared to Season 2? The studio credit might still be the same, but almost all these shows outsource episodes to smaller Korean or Chinese studios now to save money. Wouldn't surprise me if they handed the important action scenes to a less experienced team this time around.

lol fr, it felt like I was watching a slideshow with sound effects during that first fight. I've seen better animation in those fan-made AMVs from 2010. The studio probably threw the budget at some director's pet project and forgot the actual show still needed to look decent.
