Pulled a 1998 Kenmore dryer apart on a Tuesday, and I'm still second-guessing the call I had to make on the thermal fuse | Appliance Repairers - SMM Buzz
Did you test it with a meter before you swapped it, or just go by looks? I read somewhere that those thermal fuses hardly ever fail on their own, they usually blow because of a clogged vent or a bad cycling thermostat. So if you just replace the fuse without finding the real cause, it'll pop again in a week.
