Saw a guy in Bakersfield trying to fix his fridge with a butter knife last week
He was jamming it into the defrost drain like it was a clogged sink, and I had to stop and explain how those plastic housings crack under pressure. Is it just me or did people used to actually read the manual before grabbing whatever tool was closest?

Watched my neighbor try to unclog his garbage disposal with a metal spatula last summer. Thing sparked so bad I thought the house was gonna catch fire. He had the manual sitting on the counter the whole time too, still covered in shrink wrap. People just want to feel handy without doing the actual reading part.
